An awards ceremony was held at the 5th Conference for the Promotion of Collaboration among Business, Academia, and Government so that the Cabinet Office could recognize the outstanding achievements of researchers and engineers working in joint projects involving the Business, Academia and Government. Among the recipients for this year's Prime Minister's Prize were Dr.Akihisa Inoue, President of Tohoku University, who developed a new "metallic glass" material and Namiki Precision Jewel Co., which achieved practical application of the world's smallest motor. |
