Namiki has been at the cutting edge of technological innovation since 1939, when we began producing synthetic sapphire jewel bearings for electrical measuring instruments. During the next 70 years, we have utilized our unique gem processing technology and extensive research capabilities to develop successful products in a range of high-tech industries. Our expertise in manufacturing jewel bearings grew through the 1940's and 1950's into producing watch parts and advanced diamond phonograph styluses which manufacturers readily chose over others to give added value to their products. In the early 1970's and 1980's, Namiki's precision diamond processing technology contributed to major advances in bioscience, semiconductors, plating, micro-precision mechanical components. |

| Today, Namiki, which is using Nanotechnology, is a recognized leader among
precision component manufacturers who are representing the core industries
of the 21st century, such as mobile & optical communications, semi-conductors,
and medical, physics & chemicals. For example, approximately 100 million
pieces per annum of our micro motors have been used as vibration components
in the mobile phones. Thus, Namiki is striving to become the world de-facto
standard for such core industry components. We are continuing our product development, as a components manufacturer, focusing on R & D to an extremely high level in the leading areas of medical equipment, physics & chemistry, aerospace, biotechnology, and the environment which will be the new key industries of the 21st century in Japan. |
